How DayMeld uses account, calendar, reminder, and app data.
Updated 10 July 2026
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, password hash, login security records, and remember-me tokens if you choose to stay signed in.
- Calendar data: calendars, entries, flex tasks, availability, unavailability, reminders, sharing choices, and notification records.
- App settings: theme, timezone, week start, reminder options, native alert preferences, and visible calendar choices.
- Support content: feedback threads, replies, device details, and screenshots you choose to attach.
- Technical data: session cookies, security logs, error logs, device/browser type, IP address, and basic request details needed to keep the service secure.
How we use it
- To run your calendar, flex queue, reminders, shared calendars, notifications, and account settings.
- To secure accounts, prevent abuse, reset passwords, and keep a basic audit trail for important actions.
- To send service emails such as password resets, account messages, and reminder emails if enabled.
- To support the installed Android app through the native bridge for notifications, vibration, sound, alarm-style alerts, full-screen reminder alerts, torch/camera-flash alerts, and alert controls when you choose to use those features.
Android app permissions
- Notifications, exact alarms, full-screen alarm screens, vibration, sound, wake locks, foreground services, and battery-restriction prompts are used for reminder and alarm features that you create, including reminders that need to fire when the app is closed or the phone is locked.
- Camera access is used only to control the torch/camera flash for urgent alarm reminders when you enable or test flashlight alerts. This gives a visible alert alongside vibration and sound, including dark-room, night-time, and deaf or hard-of-hearing use cases. DayMeld does not take photos or videos for this feature.
- Google Play builds update through Google Play and do not request install-package access. Direct-download builds may use a separate website update flow where Android allows it.
Third-party services
- Email is sent through our configured mail provider.
- If Google Login, Facebook Login, or Stripe payments are enabled later, we will only use the data needed for sign-in or payment, and this page will be kept in step with the live feature.
- We do not sell personal data. We do not use advertising pixels or analytics cookies at the moment.
- Use of information received from Google APIs will follow the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your choices
- You can edit account details, theme, reminders, native alerts, calendars, sharing, and availability in the app.
- You can ask for a copy, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data.
- Some records may be kept where needed for security, legal, billing, fraud prevention, or backup reasons.
- To make a privacy request, sign in on the web or in the installed app and use Settings > Account > Data and privacy, or create a private Feedback & bugs thread.
